Northridge beats the Eagles, JV wins

The Varsity Eagle golf team struggled a bit 24 hours after putting together one of the best rounds the program had had in years. The team had a solid 1-2 punch with Nick Herndon and Austin Corcimiglia shooting 38 and 40, respectively. Unfortunately, the rest of the team struggled, leading to a loss of 164 to 174. Northridge's Rhett Holaway was the medalist with a very good 36. The loss put the team's record at 3-2. The team will continue to get better with practice and patience. Consistency will be the key to a solid run this year. The team will be back in action this weekend at Sycamore Hills Country Club in Fort Wayne.

The Junior Varsity golf team had solid contributions from many players in winning tonight's match by a score of 200 to 203. Colt Penner led the way as medalist with a 45, Nate Beatty had a solid 47, Collin Sherburne shot 53, Brody Dunn shot 54, and Justin Papenbrock concluded the scoring with a 56. The win pushed the JV record to 4-2. The team also had solid contributions from exhibition players. Leading the way was Sam Beaber with a 48 and Keith Bookwalter had a good score of 55 on the back nine of Lake James.
