2011 Triton Invitational Results

The Varsity Eagle golf team competed well at the 2011 Triton Invitational. The tournament was held at Rozella Ford Golf Club in Warsaw, Indiana. The course plays to a par 70. The Eagles had an eight shot lead at the turn in recording a team score of 163 through nine holes. Unfortunately, the team struggled on the back nine en route to a total team score of 341. New Prairie won the event by a score of 331.

Leading the Eagles in scoring was Nick Herndon, who began his senior campaign with a fine round of 75, which was good enough for a tie for medalist. Nick took on state-qualifier Franklin Crist in a one-hole playoff for medalist, which ended in defeat by a score of 4 to 5. Austin Corcimiglia shot 84 to finish in 10th place overall in the tournament. Tyler Jenkins shot 89, Brandin Ross shot 93, and Colt Penner shot 99 to round out the team's scoring. Even though the team had some back nine struggles, all in all the day was a success.
