The Lady Eagles have a good showing at Sectionals, Liz wins championship

The Lady Eagle golf team put together a good showing at the Angola Sectional on Saturday in finishing 4th place overall. Bishop Dwenger won the Sectional with a 357, while DeKalb and Concordia each also played well enough to make it to the Regional. Fremont, who was led by Sectional Champion Liz Carlson's 78, finished with a 391. The team struggled to find its rhythm on the front nine, but were very good on the back nine to end the season on a positive note. Alivia Behnfeldt came back from a tough front nine to shoot a 99, Joy Thompson also came back on the back to shoot 104, and Jessica Mofield shot a 110 to end her year well. Laura Dennis didn't shoot a good last round, but has to be applauded for her fine career at the Varsity level. Liz's round gives her her third regional berth in four years.
