Fremont finishes ninth at the Fall Classic

The varsity Eagle Golf team had an up and down day at its own Fall Classic on Thursday to finish ninth place with a score of 422. The loaded line-up of teams was headlined by Wawasee, which shot 359 to win the tournament. South Bend St. Joe was second with a 366 and Fairfield shot a 369 to finish in third place. The Fremont Eagles were led by Liz Carlson, who shot a career-best 77, good enough to be the 18-hole record in Fremont's fourteen year history of girls golf. Alivia Behnfeldt competed in her second eighteen hole tournament and had a 109, Laura Dennis shot 117, Haleigh Seidel, competing in her first eighteen hole tournament shot a 119, and finally Joy Thompson shot 120. Jessica Mofield competed as an individual and shot a 126.

The team improved a lot over the past week by cutting 61 shots off their first score at the Leo Lions Invitational last Thursday.
