The Fremont Eagle Golf Team missed golden opportunity to take down #17 Prairie Heights

The Varsity Eagle golf team had an excellent opportunity to defeat one of the state's best on Thursday night, but wasn't able to get it done. The team picked a bad day to play it's worst round of the season on the windy front nine at Lake James. The team was led by Seth Robertson who shot a 41, Austin Corcimiglia had a 44, Nick Herndon shot a 45, Brandin Ross chipped in a 47, and Tyler Jenkins rounded out the scoring with a 53. The team lost to Prairie Heights by a score of 169 to 177. The team defeated Garrett by a score of 177 to 200. The split puts the team's record at 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the NECC. The medalist of the match was Matt Schultz with a 37.

The Junior Varsity golf team split tonight by losing to Prairie Heights by a score of 213 to 203 and defeated Garrett by a score of 213 to 257. The team was led by Sam Beaber's 48, Lucas Baxla played well with a 51, and Jordon Schmucker, Zack Trombley, and Colt Penner each shot 57's. The split put the junior varsity record at 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the NECC.
