Golf team hitting stride at right time

The Varsity golf team picked a great time to start playing their best heading in to next week's NECC Tournament. The team placed third in the Angola Invitational, which has one of the best fields in this area. The Eagles' score of 324 gave the team its best 18 hole score of the season. DeKalb won the invite with a 304, Fairfield finished second with a 305. Pacing Fremont was Nick Herndon with a 78, following Nick was senior Brandin Ross who shot 81, Austin Corcimiglia had an 82, finally Jordon Schmucker and Tyler Jenkins each had 83s. The solid play only solidifies the team's chances over the next few weeks as the tournament season approaches. The team must remain loose and confident and will see their play remain at the recent level. Great job Eagles!!
