The Fremont Eagle Golf Team just missed taking down #20 Prairie Heights

The Fremont Eagle golf team took home a split on Friday night on the front nine at Lake James Golf Club. The team beat Churubusco by a score of 167 to 207 to conclude its NECC regular season record at 7-3. The team gave the twentieth ranked team in the state a great run in leading them through their top three players. Unfortunately, the team had a tough last couple scores to come up short of the upset. However, the team completed a great week of matches with a 3-1 record and a realization that we CAN be really good. The team was led once again by Nick Herndon, who shot 38 which was good enough to tie Casey Anderson for medalist honors, Seth Robertson shot 39, Austin Corcimiglia shot 40, Tyler Jenkins and Brandin Ross rounded out the scoring with a 50 and 52 respectively. The team's overall record now stands at 9-5.

The JV team also split tonight by losing to Prairie Heights by a score of 195 to 221. The team defeated Busco by forfeit. The split put the JV record at 9-6 overall and 6-4 in the NECC. The team was led by Jordon Schmucker's 49, Phil Keating shot 52, Ryan Lehnertz shot 56, and Zack Trombley rounded out the scoring with a 64. Good season Eagles and work hard on your games this summer!!!
