AC concludes career at FHS, shoots respectable 76

Austin teed it up for the second year in a row at the IHSAA Regional Golf Tourament.  The past year Austin shot a solid 77 and missed State by a mere two shots on Orchard Ridge Country Club.  This year, at Stonehenge in Warsaw, Austin was poised to make another run at the State Tournament.  With the exception of a tough start which saw Austin six over after six holes, Austin shot lights out!! From that point on Austin shot one under par, UNBELIEVABLE!!  Unfortunately, Austin's 76 wasn't quite good enough as the rest of the field had their own say on the outcome.  When it was all said and done Austin's 76 was four shots away from an opportunity to get to STATE.  Sadly, Austin's career came to an end, but it wasn't without a tremendous fight.  I can say as a coach I couldn't be prouder of a young man for his conduct, character, and overall attitude on and off the golf course.  I want to thank this fine young man for representing Fremont and Fremont golf so well.
